CLEAR MIND CLINIC · ONLINE COUNSELING
Your thoughts can feel powerful. They do not have to control your life.
Counseling for OCD, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts and compulsions—with psychological understanding that goes beyond temporary reassurance.
You may already know that the fear is excessive. You may already know that the compulsion is exhausting. You may already have told yourself a hundred times that the thought makes no sense.
And still, the fear returns.
IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU
You are not confused because you haven’t tried hard enough.
You may have spent months—or years—trying to settle the same fear.
You check, and for a moment you feel better. Then doubt returns.
You wash, and for a moment you feel clean. Then something else feels contaminated.
You ask for reassurance, and for a moment the thought loses power. Then your mind asks another question.
You analyze the intrusive thought to understand why it came. The more you analyze it, the more important it begins to feel.
The problem is not that you have failed to find the perfect reassurance. The problem is that the search for certainty can itself become part of the cycle.
Because intellectual understanding and emotional learning are not the same thing. The fear can remain powerful when your behavior keeps responding as if the alarm must be obeyed.
Because repeatedly analyzing, neutralizing or checking a thought can teach the mind that the thought deserves special attention.
Because reassurance can reduce distress temporarily without resolving the underlying intolerance of uncertainty.
Because every situation avoided can become another situation the mind never learns to face differently.
WHAT WE WORK ON
The symptom is important. The mechanism underneath it matters even more.
The work is not only to name the condition. It is to understand what is keeping the condition active in your individual life.
Obsessions & Compulsions
Contamination, religious OCD, checking, intrusive thoughts, mental rituals, reassurance seeking, avoidance, responsibility fears and the repeated need to feel completely certain.
Understand OCD →Fear, Worry & Overthinking
Catastrophic predictions, future-oriented fear, excessive worry, threat monitoring, uncertainty and avoidance that can gradually take over everyday decisions.
Understand Anxiety →Depression & Emotional Difficulties
Low mood, loss of interest, withdrawal, reduced motivation, hopeless thinking and behavioral patterns that gradually disconnect you from life.
Understand Depression →A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON OCD
The compulsion feels like the solution. Very often, it is part of what keeps the problem going.
OCD creates doubt and then demands a response.
“Wash again.”
“Check once more.”
“Ask someone to confirm it.”
“Repeat the prayer until it feels right.”
“Review the memory again.”
“Make sure you did not harm someone.”
The compulsion brings relief. But relief can reinforce the belief that the compulsion was necessary.
If every fear is answered with a ritual, the mind never gets the opportunity to learn that the fear can exist without controlling what you do.
This is why my work with OCD focuses heavily on compulsions, avoidance, reassurance, fear, uncertainty and the meanings attached to intrusive thoughts.
The goal is not to prove every feared possibility impossible. The goal is to stop allowing every possibility to dictate your behavior.
HOW PSYCHOLOGICAL WORK BECOMES USEFUL
Understand the fear. Stop feeding the cycle. Build a different response.
Counseling should not stop at telling you what condition you have. It should help you understand what is happening and what needs to change.
01 · UNDERSTAND
Find the mechanism
What triggers the fear? What meaning does your mind attach to it? What emotion follows? What response do you perform? What does that response teach you over time?
02 · INTERRUPT
Work on the maintaining pattern
Compulsions, reassurance, avoidance, excessive analysis, withdrawal and other responses can keep the problem active even when they provide short-term relief.
03 · LEARN
Build a new response
Change happens when you repeatedly learn that fear, thoughts, uncertainty and discomfort can be present without automatically determining your next action.
MEET MOHIT DABAS
I want to understand the problem the way you actually experience it.
I’m Mohit Dabas, Psychologist and founder of Clear Mind Clinic. Over the past 6 years, I have worked with people experiencing OCD, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts, compulsions and related psychological difficulties.
Many people reach counseling already knowing the name of their problem. What they often still do not understand is why it keeps happening despite everything they have tried.
I am not interested only in what your symptom is called. I want to understand why it has acquired so much power in your life and what is keeping that power alive.
That may mean looking at fear, interpretations, compulsions, reassurance, avoidance, excessive responsibility, uncertainty, behavioral withdrawal or the relationship you have developed with your own thoughts.
I also believe you should understand the reasoning behind counseling. You should know why something is being worked on, why another response may be unhelpful, and how the work connects to your actual experience.
That combination—deep understanding, practical psychological work and clear explanation—is at the center of Clear Mind Clinic.
MEDICATION & PSYCHOLOGICAL WORK
Reducing symptoms and changing the psychological pattern are not always the same thing.
Some people come to counseling after struggling for years. Some have already tried medication or other forms of treatment. Medication can be useful for some people—particularly when symptoms are severe—but it doesn’t work at the root of the problem.
Recovery often requires learning, not only symptom reduction.
Medication does not by itself teach you how to stop performing a compulsion.
It does not by itself teach you how to face uncertainty without reassurance.
It does not by itself teach you how to stop treating an intrusive thought as evidence about your character.
It does not by itself rebuild behavioral patterns that depression may have gradually reduced.
This is where psychological work becomes important: understanding the mechanism and changing the responses that keep the difficulty active.
YOU CAN GET BETTER
No matter how long you have struggled, this does not have to be the rest of your life.
The fear may feel terrifying. The compulsions may feel impossible to resist. You may have repeated the same cycle for months or even years. None of that means the pattern is permanent.
OCD can make a thought feel urgent, contamination feel unbearable, doubt feel impossible to leave unanswered, or a compulsion feel as if it must be performed immediately.
But these reactions can be worked on. With appropriate psychological treatment, repeated practice and a different response to fear and uncertainty, compulsions can reduce, intrusive thoughts can lose their control over your behavior, and the situations that once felt impossible can become manageable again.
The same principle applies to anxiety. A frightening possibility can feel completely real in the moment, but the intensity of the feeling does not determine the truth of the prediction. You can learn to stop organizing your life around every fearful possibility your mind produces.
And depression can also change. Even when motivation, hope and energy have been low for a long time, people can gradually rebuild activity, connection, confidence and engagement with life.
Recovery is not about becoming a person who never experiences an uncomfortable thought, doubt or emotion again. It is about reaching a point where those experiences no longer control how you live.
You can become stronger than the pattern that has been controlling you—and with the right work, meaningful recovery is possible.
